To Celebrate Attitude Magazine’s 300th issue, My Icon Story partnered with Brand Advance Agency to produce a bespoke icon print that celebrates the phenomenal history of one of the most successful Gay magazine titles!
We looked back over Attitude’s successes and groundbreaking moments in publishing and decided to decide what icons would best tell their brand story. And of course we felt it appropriate that they be the first to own our rainbow gradient background design! Below are the icons we chose and what they represent:
Boy George – he was Attitude’s first cover star
The Attitude mag ‘a’ – their logo identity but also represents the Attitude Pride Awards trophy
Madonna – she gave Attitude the first interview for her Confessions of a Dancefloor album
10 Downing Street – because Attitude was Tony Blair’s first ever interview in a Gay Magazine title
British Society of Magazine Editors Award – when Attitude’s Editor became the the first editor of a gay title to win this award in 2005
Daniel Radcliffe – Attitude magazine was the first gay title the actor ever interviewed in
Crown – to represent Prince William and the Attitude being the first Gay title that the Royals had given an interview to
