At My Icon Story, we are very much looking forward to launching our new Transport for London icon collection. For a new start up business, it was a huge deal to land this contract – hopefully the first of many licensing partnerships and collaborations.
TFL is an obvious fit for our brand. The TFL station logos fit so well with our icons and provide great opportunities for our growing customer base to add a different angle to their journeys and stories: Their relationship with London and where they live, work, study and play… After all, to borrow TFL’s own strap-line, every journey matters!
What does this all mean? My Icon Story has been given permissions from TFL to offer our customers online icons of all their stations, meaning a station icon can fit perfectly into any My Icon Story print that a customer wants to design. From Acton Town to Woodside Park, we will be offering the A-Z of London Underground stations as icons you can select for your bespoke My Icon Story print.
We hope our licensing deal with TFL will be the first of many as there are lots of other brands we would love to work with – brands that resonate with our customer base; brands that My Icon Story minimalist style designs could complement; brands that would like to extend their reach and consumer product development to a new customer base.
Off the top of our heads, we can think of a dozen (some of which our own customers have already enquired about): Shaun the Sheep, Dr Who, Harry Potter, Snoopy, Batman, Wonder woman, Spongebob, Ghostbusters, The Beatles, Peter Rabbit, The British Museum, Men in Black and A-Z London.
In fact, the possibilities are endless…
Meanwhile, watch this space for our TFL product launch later this Summer. We can’t wait for our customers to start incorporating these iconic logos on to their bespoke My Icon Story print designs.
